What kind of GPS system do you have for your car?

Can you recommend one for me? Something that tells you directions by voice. Like they speak to you.

I want one that actually tells you the street names to turn on. Also like tells you how many miles before you turn. I want to buy a GPS system.
please more details and be more specific. prices too would greatly help, thank you.

  1. I did a lot of research and bought a Garmin for my wife. It’s a wonderful unit, but it is a little bulky. I am about to get one for me, and I am sold on getting another Garmin, but I’d like one smaller than the one I got for my wife.

I have given you links to three different ones. The first because it is the cheapest really good one that speaks names and street names well. You can even download different accents! My wife has a cool British guy telling her where to go!

The second two are the ones I am considering for me. They are smaller and more expensive. The first is primarily for directions but has some other toys on it like an MP3 player. The second also has Bluetooth on it if that is interesting to you.

They start at $305 and go up to $430. You can pay more if you want to get even more fancy. For most people more is an overkill.

Most of the ones that are cheaper than this don’t tell you the street names, so they just say ‘turn left in 300 feet.’ The ones I have shown you say, ‘in 300 feet, turn right on Windsor Street.’ I like that better.
