    hey good job on the video! but i don’t get how you got the pink and white lines. if i click direct it takes me directly to the airport but i want to go to the a runway at that airport from where i am currently flying. (e.g i am flying over seattle city and i wan to land at the active runway at seattle airport from where i am currently flying. how do i do this in the gps?? How do i get the lines to show me where the airport and runway is? PLEASE REPLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. if i wanna enter a destination in the GPS like i dunno KLAX, how do i do a IFR. instead of going to the flight planner in the free flight section thingy and check the IFR can you do it in the GPS?

  4. Did you learn how to do all this yourself?
    BTW, I love how you can type in the letters in the GPS, in the actual GPS it takes forever to put in a flight plan.

    You did a great job explaining the basic GPS for MSFS. Don’t forget to occasionally take your plane off the AP and fly it manually, especially if you’re going to get your PPL and more. Keep it up, good luck and when the time comes, happy tailwinds.

  5. Good tutorial but the voice recording sucks!

  18. today i’ve seen dozens of tutorial videos here in youtube. while this one could be improved, it is by far the best in explanation from A to B which is what a person without knowledge needs. Excellent video. I use the G1000 by default but ocassionally use the 500 and then I can’t remember anything, this video now brought it all back to logical steps. Excellent!

  19. is it just me or ???am kinda getting fed up with fsx gps 500.i find it a bit too complex.do i have always go back to flight pick my heading

  20. Hi how can u set gps using latitud and longitude to navigate to an airport for example borana in africa kenya thanks

    @ryantttt
    Not that I know of.

  23. Excellent video, very well explained. The Garmin 500 GPS is a bit complicated. Best advice, watch the vid 2 or 3 times or as long as it takes to understand it to where one can manipulate the controls with some sense of ease. Keep up the good work. In the audio part of the vid sounds like a loose connection or a mic going bad.
